A few weeks back Star Wars Action News and the publishers of the new trivia book Obsessed With Star Wars teamed up to give away two copies of this book. We had a simple request--tell us why YOU were obsessed with Star Wars. Man, did we get more than we bargained for as the answers ranged from the obvious (Leia is Hot in a Bikini) to the ridiculous (you'll have to listen to find out what...). We read some of the submissions and announce the winners on this week's Star Wars Action News. We also have Steve reporting from the Collectormania Midlands Convention in the UK, telling us about the latest finds and his encounters with several celebrities at that convention.

This past week, James Luceno's newest Star Wars book, Millennium Falcon, was released. Coming out two months earlier than planned, it jumped to .5 past lightspeed and swapped places with Matthew Stover's Shadows of Mindor, and arrived at your local bookstore. This week we focus on the release of this new book with a spoiler-free (as possible) review of the book, and an interview with the author where we discuss the finer points of Millennium Flacon as well as his cancelled Darth Plageous novel. Also this week we have a store report and discuss the latest Republic Gunship going for insane amounts on eBay, and the showing of new battle packs, Wave 4 Legacy figures, and more showing up in stores near you. For most of 2008 we have been teased with products from eFX Collectibles. From their first early ads to their premiere at San Diego Comic Con to their email ads. They released the Stormtrooper helmet earlier this year, but that was a tweak to a product previously available from MR. Now eFX brings us the first truly new product they are offering. Going on sale this Saturday morning, eFX brings us the Episode II Clone Trooper Helmet. This week Star Wars Action News has a hands-on review of this new item. Also this week we answer some of your e-mail questions including what to do with an extra Star Wars promotional vinyl banner, what set of troops the clone Deviss is assigned to, why there are Anakin figures called Darth Vader, and what is the latest on the live action TV Series. For weeks Marjorie has been quizzing Arnie on Star Wars trivia taken from the book Obsessed with Star Wars by Ben Harper. This week, Arnie turns the tables by asking some questions to the author himself, and finds out more about the making of this fun and unique Star Wars book, and listen to find out how you can win a copy of this book. Also this week, we look at another Star Wars book, Order 66 by Karen Traviss--the first hardcover installment in the Republic Commando series based on the beloved games, and we look back on another vintage figure from The Empire Strikes Back. This Tuesday XBoxes all over will be overheating as Star Wars fans across the country assume the role of Vader's secret apprentice and proceed to use the Force in never before seen ways to dispatch Stormtroopers and Jedi alike. The book has been atop the bestseller charts, and the downloadable demo on XBox 360 and Playstation 3 have broken records. For may Star Wars fans, this was the Star Wars event of 2008. However the game was not without its troubles. Originally scheduled to be a 30th Anniversary multimedia celebration of Star Wars, the game's release time was pushed back numerious times, LucasArts had some highly publicied staff layoffs and departures, and a running joke became to call the game The Force Unreleased. Now that the game has gone Gold, we sit down with its Executive Producer, Hayden Blackman, to discuss the game's delays, and what fans can look forward to when they finally get the game in their hands. We also review the book "The Art and Making of The Force Unleashed". Nathan P Butler also provides an expanded universe history of Vader's other apprentices, from Asoka to the one in the game, and discusses how and why Shaak Ti is able to appear in the game. Plus we discss the final Force Unleashed toys hitting shelves now from Hasbro, including the GameStop exclusive Stormtrooper figure and the Wal-Mart exclusive 3-packs.
