The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus has been a social and cultural force ever since. Join host Eric Jansen, conductor Kathleen McGuire and founding baritone Bob Rufo to hear some of the chorus' music and history, and about its 30th Anniversary World AIDS Day Concert and yearly "Home for the Holidays" concerts, including a new peace suite by Steve Schachlin and also featuring singer Kim Kuzma.

MILK, the movie. Director Gus Van Sant and actors Sean Penn, Josh Brolin and Emile Hirsch talk with Marilyn Pittman about their new film, "Milk," about slain gay rights pioneer Harvey Milk. Love Politics: Personalizing Proposition 8 (Part 2 of 2).
Hear how Phyllis Lyon & the late Del Martin helped found the "secret lesbian society," the Daughters of Bilitis in 1955 and launched a national lesbian magazine in 1956; how they fought police violence in the 1960s; and about the 1965 New Year's Drag Ball busted by San Francisco cops that helped the ACLU take gay rights seriously. They also tell about their February 2004 marriage in city hall. We finish with music and inspirational words (from National Center for Lesbian Rights leader Kate Kendell) from the City Hall celebration of Del's life that show how much society's attitudes have changed.
